St. Patrick's Day is just around the corner, so let's take advantage of this time to get green and crafty with your little ones! My kids love a theme and of course, I do too! So whether you're crafting, teaching, baking, or simply letting your kids play around the house - embrace the luck of the Irish and draw some inspiration from some of my favorite festive ways to celebrate. And, don't forget to tag me because I love to share your creations on my Instagram! Use the hashtag #FromScratch and tag me @fromscratchwithmaria so I can "wish you a pot 'o gold and all the joy your heart can hold!"

St. Patrick's Day Kids Crafts From Scratch

  1. DIY St. Patrick's Day Tablescape- Start the holiday off right by setting the scene for your St. Patrick's Day party. Begin with a perfect tablescape for the leprechauns in your house. Your revelers will be feeling the luck when they lay their eyes on this festive green layout! You'll have everything you need -- hats, party favors, and green streamers!

  2. DIY Rainbow Art For Kid - No need to chase a rainbow, instead create some adorable rainbow art. This craft is simple and opens itself up to some fun teachable opportunities about colors. Plus it is a great way to open the doors to creativity for your little ones! Click this link to watch a video of Grant creating his very own rainbow on another episode of Making Messes!

  3. DIY Mossy Maze Leprechaun Trap - Now that you've got a house full of leprechauns, send them through this mossy maze and see who can find their pot of gold! Actually, this super fun DIY is a great way for you and your kids to get creative together. Before you know it, you'll be devising pathways and traps to put your leprechaun to the test. Who will find that pot of gold?! Well, let's put that luck of the Irish to the test and find out!

  4. DIY Flower Pots Three Ways - Here is a great way to incorporate the cheer of St. Paddy's day into some of the everyday items you may already have lying around your house. I know I have way more flower pots than I or really anybody needs. Instead of just throwing them away, why not find a way to inject some new life into them!? Feel free to let the Emerald Isle inspire you when giving your flower pots a fresh new look. And, maybe you can grow some shamrocks in there too!

  5. Shamrock Cookies - Speaking of shamrocks…you know I had to make some shamrock cookies for St. Patrick's Day! For me, there is no better way to celebrate St. Patrick chasing the snakes out of Ireland then whipping up a batch of these delicious sugar cookies.
