Finding Time For Veggies with Naked Cold Pressed Juice
Time seems to fly during busy weekdays. Who am I kidding? I am a parent; I'm busy on the weekends too. It always seems to feel like I can't fit in "downtime." I can't say I have a typical job, because I work from home, and then run around town going to class, going on auditions, shooting segments, shopping for crafts, and running the everyday errands. Of course, those are the days my son is in school, because when he is home with me, it is definitely all about entertaining him. Toddlers have an attention span of a fly. Every mom I talk to feels the same way about her day. It doesn't matter if you work from home, stay home with your kids, or go out to work, being a mom is hard. You always seem to be taking care of and thinking of someone else besides yourself. It can be difficult sometimes to remember that us moms need to take care of ourselves, and allow ourselves to find the time to work out and be healthy.
I am a self-proclaimed cookie addict, but I happen to also love veggies ALMOST as much as cookies. When it comes to eating, my perspective is to have good quality food, and take the time to really appreciate the food you enjoy. I do not count calories…it makes me crazy! Also, when someone tells me there is the same amount of sugar in a banana as there is in a cookie, I want to explain to them that cookies don’t grow on trees. The idea is simple, eat real food that is healthy, and if you enjoy a cookie or cheesy pasta every once in a while, life is good. It is all about balance. Eating healthy and being busy don’t always work hand in hand, but I’m excited to share with you an easy way to fit in your veggies with Naked Cold Pressed Juice.
The Bright Greens is my favorite! It is a blend of eight juices – apple, cucumber, celery, lettuce, lemon, kale, spinach and wheatgrass. Each bottle of Bright Greens is a good source of Potassium and an excellent source of Vitamin K.
My bottle of Bright Greens from is peaking out of latest Valentine's Day segment on The Hallmark Channel's Home and Family Show. I like bringing it with me on busy days like this, because I don't have much time to think about eating healthy.
Cold pressed juices used to only be available at specific, specialty stores, but the experts at Naked are launching a new line of cold pressed juices called Naked Pressed, which are rolling out on the West Coast at select neighborhood grocery stores. They are made with the highest-quality fruit and vegetables, so there is no excuse not to get goodness inside your body. I love having these cold pressed juices on hand when I am having long days that involve lots of driving and no opportunity to pack a lunch. It’s no wonder there was a huge demand for these kinds of pressed juices from Naked’s loyal customer base. Naked has been creating blended juices and smoothies for more than 30 years, and their commitment to listening to consumers’ demands has allowed them to stay innovative and evolve within the juice category.
Cold pressed juices are very popular here in Los Angeles, so I’ve had the opportunity to taste a number of different styles and varieties over the past few years, and I love these. Naked Cold Pressed Juice have no added sugar or preservatives and are verified by the Non-GMO Project. What’s not to love? Also, the flavors are well balanced, as they aren’t overly sweet or overly vegetal.
Naked Cold Pressed Juice comes in a great range of flavors, including Greens (my favorite), Hearty Greens, Lively Carrot, Bold Beet, and Cool Pineapple
I packed up the Cool Pineapple to have after my favorite workout, HOT YOGA! It is my favorite workout in the entire world. It takes every once of energy out of me, so it is really important to stay hydrated afterwards.
Cool Pineapple pineapple, cucumber and lemon with a touch of filtered water. Cool Pineapple is an excellent source of Vitamin C.
Lively Carrot carrot, apple, orange, cucumber, lemon with a hint of vanilla and turmeric. Lively Carrot is a good source of Potassium and an excellent source of Vitamin A.
Running around town like a crazy person with my Lively Carrot Juice. Since Los Angeles is the traffic capitol of the world (just kidding I made that up...but it feels like it), I always seem to be spending a lot of time in the car, especially on days I am shooting.
...or spending time with this crazy human that I created!
