Easter Egg Shell Vase Craft

I love how beautiful and delicate eggs are. Decorating with eggs for Easter is, of course, so festive, but I thought it would be really rustic and elegant to leave the eggs their natural color instead of dying them.

This project is very easy and versatile. I had a piece of thin wood from another project, so I roughly painted it white, meaning I didn't make it look completely covered and perfect. I wanted it to look slightly worn. Then I used a glue gun to attach the empty eggs. I added in a little water, and fresh roses. You can color/paint the eggs if you want. You could also use fake flowers if you have them around.

In order to empty the eggs I actually "blow them out." Which means, I poke a hole in the top and bottom and blow through one side. This way you can eat the eggs for breakfast!

This makes for a really pretty and simple Easter decoration you can use for a number of things from table decor to house decorations.

Easter Egg Shell Vase Craft

Supplies:

long piece of wood

eggs; blown out/empty

paint/paint brush

glue gun

Directions:

*Wash the egg; blow out the eggs by poking a small hole in the top and the bottom of the egg, I like to use a small, sharp knife (very carefully) to poke the hole, but you can use a nail, or something equally sharp and strong; use a toothpick to poke inside of the egg to break up the yolk; place your mouth over one of the holes and blow so that the raw egg comes out the other hole; do this over a bowl so that you can use the inside of the eggs to cook; keep an eye out for pieces of the shell though!

*Paint the piece of wood the desired color and allow to dry

*Use a small, sharp knife to break the top of the egg to create the space for the flower

*Evenly space out the eggs onto the piece of wood, and attach them with the glue gun; make sure to cover the bottom hole with some of the glue so that water does not come out when creating the vase

*Pour a small amount of water into the egg, and place in a flower
