DIY Clothespin Scarf Holder

I LOVE to organize! Having a toddler around can make it very difficult, not to mention living in a larger city can mean living in a smaller space as well. I grew up in Michigan where they have basements, huge yards, and so much space. Living in Los Angeles definitely challenges me to be creative when it comes to organizing, because our storage in minimal. PLUS, all of the storage we do have has gone to my cooking and baking items (I have way too many), AND all of my crafting supplies.

Even if I do have my clothes organized in drawers, I always seem to take the first item in the drawer, and forget about the rest. That is the reason I love the idea of displaying AND organizing my favorite accessories. Clothespins are so great, because you can make this DIY Clothespin Scarf Holder look feminine, rustic, chic, anything you like by simply painting it.

This would also be such a cute idea for a baby or child's room. You could paint it accordingly and hang adorable tiny clothes on the clothespins.

Clothespin Scarf Holder

Supplies Piece of wood Clothespins Wood glue Paint Paint brush Screw eyes String/ribbon

Directions *Paint the clothespins as desired; allow to dry *Place the clothespins on the piece of wood, measure so they are evenly spaced *Glue the pins onto the wood by applying a very thin coat of wood glue so that it doesn’t ooze out around the edge of the pin *Allow to dry for a few hours at least, or up to overnight *Screw or hammer the a screw eye into each side of the piece of wood, and tie the ribbon or string on each one and hang on the wall; another way to attach the wood is with command strips
