Who doesn't love chocolate milk?!?

I have to admit, it has been awhile since I've had chocolate milk, so when I received an opportunity to work with fairlife ultra-filtered milk I decided to try it out.  It's nice to see that it has 50% less sugar than most chocolate milk and comes from family-owned farms where animal care and environmental sustainability are top priorities.  The chocolate milk....is so good!  Also, it's always gratifying to have something that tastes like dessert, but still has protein at the same time!

As I’m sure you know by now if you β€˜ve been following my blog, breakfast food is my favorite meal to make...and eat!  I love mornings, though everything seems to be chaotic at that time, because it seems to be the time when everyone is around and gets to see each other.  It is the one meal that my husband, my son, and I can all eat together during the week, so I cherish that time.  With my new found love for chocolate milk, I thought I would add it to one of my favorite breakfast recipes.  These chocolate milk waffles will have you at first scent.  The smell of chocolate will fill your kitchen and instantly make you happy!  The chocolate milk adds a perfect amount of chocolate flavor without being overpowering.  I use whole-wheat flour in these waffles for the health benefits, but I also like the nutty flavor it adds.  Top these waffles with fruit for a fresh pop of flavor and warm, rich maple syrup.

Waffles are also a great thing to have in your freezer.  Whatever you have leftover can be placed in a freezer-safe bag (once cooled completely), labeled with the date, and frozen.  When you want to eat them just place the waffles in a heated oven or use a toaster (depending on their size) to warm them up.  No need to buy frozen waffles at the store when you can make them yourself.
