Reindeer Moss Reindeer Wreath
Yes, I meant to type "Reindeer" twice! I thought that it would be fun to create a reindeer wreath made with Reindeer Moss! Reindeer Moss exists??? Yes it does! Who knew? I spend way too much time and Michael's.....
I basically look for any reason to use a glue gun. This wreath ended up being huge so you can make it much smaller. For some reason when I go to Michael's everything looks smaller there and I get it home and it looks huge. These are really fun wreaths to have around for kids during the holidays. Grant gets the biggest kick out of reindeer lately! They are made with a styrofoam wreath, reindeer moss, a glue gun, and then the rest you can use what you have around. For the eyes I used wood circles that I painted, for the nose I used a red ornament, and for the antlers I used gold covered branches. I'll take you step by step with the pictures!
What you need:
Styrofoam wreath
twine
glue gun (with plenty of refills)
package of reindeer moss
red ornament
wood rounds with holes in them
paint for the eyes
branches for the antlers
hair pins to hold in the branches (optional)
I started by painting the wood and tying on the eyes with twine and making it secure with the glue from the glue gun.
Then, I glued on the moss all over the front and sides of the wreath.
On the back side I placed the branches where I wanted them to be and used hair pains to keep them secure. You can use anything you want, but I had these around and they worked well!! Then, I glued them to make sure they were secure.
In order to make the wreath hang I tied a piece of twine (you can use ribbon too) and placed it on the moss. Then, I secured it in with a hair pin.... and glue!
