Why is painting so much fun?

Ever since I ordered a box full of acrylic craft paint I have been looking for reasons to paint something! With Mother's Day coming up, I thought, why not paint the vases I have in storage?

The idea came to me while I was painting for another project. I've had these basic, square vases lying around from past bouquets I've received, and thought it would be easy to dress them up a bit. I started testing out different paints and styles, and found this "brushed" look to be really simple and pretty.

Paint Brushed Vase

acrylic paint

paint brush (you can use a foam brush)

Instructions

*Flip the vases over so that the bottom is facing up

*Paint the entire bottom of the vase and lightly brush the paint towards the top of the vase

*I did two coats

*Create the "brushed" look by sweeping the paint brush in an upwards motion at the end
