DIY Tuxedo Party Poppers on The Hallmark Channel's Home and Family Show
We are getting ready for New Year's Eve today on The Hallmark Channel's Home and Family Show at 10am!
New Year's Eve is a great excuse for a black tie affair, and even your party decorations can be dressed up too. These tuxedo party poppers are such a fun addition to your celebration, because you have to have confetti when the ball drops at midnight, AND it makes for great pictures as well. Even if you are having a pajama party at home, these little guys will make your night feel fancy.
Supplies:
White Paper
Scissors
Ruler
Double-Sided Tape
Glue Gun + Glue Sticks
Tiny Black Jewels
Wide Black Wire Ribbon
Thin Black Wire Ribbon
Confetti
*To make these stand up, I placed them in a vase with gold metallic packaging that is normally used for gift boxes.*
Directions:
*Measure the height of the treat pops
*Cut the white paper into a strip the same size at the treat pop
*Attach the paper to the pop with the double sided tape; then wrap around the treat pop, and secure it with the hot glue at the end
*For the bow tie, cut a piece of the black ribbon, the size will depend on how big you want the bow to be, but anywhere from 6-9 inches *Glue the ends of the ribbon together, that will be the center of the back *Cut a piece of the thin ribbon and wrap it around the center of the wide ribbon to form a tie; secure in place with the hot glue *Attach the bow tie to the top of the paper covered treat pop with the hot glue *Attach the small black jewels to the treat pop with the hot glue as well *Fill the treat pops with confetti; place the top of the treat pop on them to prevent confetti from spilling until ready to toss.
