Father's Day with T.J. Maxx
Sponsored by T.J. Maxx
After having a child, Father's Day has an entirely new meaning. I have always looked up to my parents, but now I have such a huge appreciation of the time and effort they put into making family time special. Now that I have started my own little family, my husband and I try to max out our family time as best we can. I work from home AND I am a stay-home-mom, so getting the most out of my day is necessary. I found that taking my son shopping with me is a good way to kill two birds with one stone. It becomes a lesson for him to be patient, and I get to accomplish the errands for the day. I recently discovered T.J. Maxx when shopping for Father's Day ideas. It’s great because you can shop for your dad, husband, kids, and yourself all in the same place. They have a huge variety of items to choose from, so I was able to shop for both my husband and my dad for Father’s Day. Talk about a way to max out your time!
My husband loves to golf, and it was always something he did with his dad. It’s four hours together to talk, bond, and be outdoors. Now that my son is getting older my husband loves to take him out to the golf course. Granted my son can’t last the entire four hours, but he LOVES driving the cart with his dad and running around in the open space. They get ice cream afterwards, and then my son is so tired he crashes! It’s the cutest thing ever! Since my husband loves this so much, I wanted to get him a Father’s Day gift he could really use. At T.J. Maxx I found my husband a great golf shirt that he can wear on his weekend golf excursions with my son. I also found a variety of golf belts and hats.
My dad is the hardest person to buy gifts for! He has everything for everything. I thought it would be great this year to find him something sentimental. At T.J. Maxx, I found a simply sophisticated frame to put a picture of my son and nephew in from our recent trip together. It will be great for his office!
Of course, I couldn’t leave without looking around at the women’s clothes and handbags. I had to keep in mind that I wasn’t shopping for myself, but I did see this cute hooded dress that I NEEDED. It’s perfect for casual summer days with my son, and it can also be a cover-up on beach days. There were also a variety of summer handbags that I loved! The prices were dramatically less than you would see at a department store. So, I will definitely be headed back to T.J. Maxx soon!
