DIY Heart Soaps For Valentine's Day
When it comes to teacher gifts, I always try to think outside the box! I know that on Valentine's Day, teachers get bombarded with treats. Now, I am not one to complain about homemade desserts, but it is the store-bought candy that I just can't get on board with. I do, however, love me some "fancy" chocolate, like Godiva! It is the other, over-processed, candy that I cannot do. It makes me feel absolutely terrible. Trying to keep it away from my son is a whole other story!!
With that said! I created these adorable soaps this year for teacher gifts. Teachers are always washing their hands, because they are worried about getting sick. I don't blame them! My son is three, and I feel like every time I pick him up at school there is some kid with snot dripping down their nose. It is pretty gross. These teachers work so hard, so it is nice to show that you really appreciate them, and all they do for you and your kids!
These soaps can be made for bridal showers, or any party really depending on the molds you can find. I love the idea of the diamond shape soaps for a bachelorette party as well, or anything bridal. The process is very simple! You can watch my full tutorial for DIY Heart Soaps For Valentine's Day on the CraftBox Girls site here!!
These are the silicone molds you will need to make the fun shapes!
When looking for the coloring for the soap, make sure to find the coloring that is specifically made for soap. You cannot use the same coloring that you would use in food.
Also, feel free to have fun with different scents. For these I used lavender and vanilla essential oils to create a really nice, calming scent.
