Beautiful Monday: Garnier BB Cream
I had seen a bunch of commercials about this Garnier BB Cream that it actually made me curious about what it did (I know... I'm such an easy sell). I think it has it's pros and cons but my overall review is good!!
So to sum up.... to me this is basically a tinted suncream. I never use tinted moisturizers because they don't have enough pigment for me, but this actually has a good amount of pigment to give you coverage that you need. Be careful with your application because a little goes a long way and if you use too much you can look a little orange. This doesn't replace foundation for me, but its a good alternative for the times when you aren't looking to put on a full face of make-up... like the beach days coming up this summer.
Pros:
*The BB Cream has sunscreen along with pigment to give you coverage while protecting your skin.
*It creates a soft, dewy, light look on skin.
*Great for beach days, running errands, even if you are one of those people who wear make-up when they go to workout (I AM one of those people thank you) its great because you aren't clogging up your pores with heavy oil-based make-up.
*It does even out pigmentation and dryness without feeling heavy.
*Could be used on chest and back as well.
Cons:
*I still used a stronger sunscreen underneath because I don't believe 15 SPF is strong enough protection.
*It's not waterproof so if you go into the water it actually comes off pretty easy.
*It doesn't match perfectly to your skin like a normal foundation does and can looks a little orange if you happen to apply too much.... trust me!
*It needs to be reapplied every 2 hours (like sunscreen does). The pigment won't wear off, but the SPF loses it's power.
All in all I think it's something worth trying out to see if it fits into your lifestyle. I like finding ways to stretch out my pricey foundation and this helps by allowing you to go some days with wearing something else.
