Apple Jar Teacher Gifts
I cannot believe that school is about to start....and that my son will be in preschool! Where does the time go?
Teacher gifts can be tough, because they are getting something from each student, that you want it to be somewhat memorable, something they will use, and cute, of course. I love making people food (surprise, surprise), because it is something you know they will get some use out of!
With the classic idea that you are supposed to bring the teacher an apple, I thought I would do a cute take on that, and who doesn't like mason jars? Mason jars and be repurposed for a number of different things, such as a "breakfast to go" that I like to make when I have busy mornings. Teachers are always busy, so this adorable mason jar, filled with homemade granola, makes a great back-to-school gift.
This idea can be used for a number of different things. You could find faux flowers to place on the top as a party favor for showers, birthdays, etc. For a kid's party, you could glue small animals on the tops, really this opens the door to so many ideas! You can also spray paint the lids any color you want!
Supplies:
mason jars with lids
red spray paint
glue gun
Directions:
*Spray paint the tops of the mason jars (both parts of the lids), on a covered surface, in a well-ventilated area, preferably outside.
*Allow to dry (they dry pretty quickly)
*Clean and dry the mason jars, then fill them with anything you like!
*Place the newly red mason jar lids on the jars
*Place a small amount of hot glue in the center, and then place the faux apple in the hot glue, and hold until the glue and apple have set
*Then you are all set!!
