Animal Wall Art on The Hallmark Channel's Home and Family Show

Today on the Hallmark Channel's Home and Family Show I'm making these adorable DIY Animal Wall Art Canvases. These are perfect for a nursery or children's room. You can also make them really chic by painting them black and white, or any colors you like to match a room.

This project would be a really fun one for kids to be a part of if they are old enough to work with acrylic craft paint.

Supplies:

Canvases in desired sizes; sizes will vary based on the size of the animals

Small plastic animals

Serrated knife or hand saw; if your animals are solid plastic, you may need to use a chop saw

Paint; acrylic craft paint or spray paint both work

Paint brush

Industrial strength glue; gorilla super glue also works well for this

Directions:

*Cut the animals in half

*Paint the canvas and the animals in the desired colors; this may require multiple coats of paint; it does help to paint the animal white first, then paint over it with the colored paint

*Allow to dry

*Glue the animal onto the canvas
